I am a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at the Department of Psychology at Lancaster University, United Kingdom.

My research interests lie broadly within cognitive neuroscience of language. My current work includes neurocognitive mechanisms of inner speech and verbal hallucinations, abstract conceptual processing, discourse processing, bilingualism and self-awareness. I use s/fMRI, EEG, eye tracking, neurostimulation, and computational modelling in my research.

My work has been and/or is currently funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, Medical Research Council, The Bial Foundation, The British Academy and the Experimental Psychological Society.
